Training credits: How to redeem for team training or certification exams

Training credits can be used for live instructor-led team training – either virtual or on-site – and certification exams.

NOTE: In order to redeem your training credits, you will need the unique code provided by your training credits account owner.

How to redeem credits for live team training (virtual or onsite)

Here’s how you can find a live team training course and redeem your training credits at the point of purchase.

Choosing a course that offers live team training

  1. Log in to university.atlassian.com

  2. Browse for the training you want to purchase:

  • If you know the title of the course, you may use the search field on the upper right of the page:

      3. Click on a course that interests you. If that course offers team training you’ll see the enroll your team button at the top

      4. Click the enroll your team button and select which kind of team training you want to purchase: virtual or on-site:

      5. Select purchase

       6. Enter the redemption code provided by your training credit account owner

        7. Fill in the rest of the required fields to complete the purchase

Note: If training credit redemptions require account owner approval, the redemption will not be completed until the account owner approves the request. Once the redemption is approved, you will receive a notification email.

        8. Once you have purchased the team training, you can request to schedule your team training through the support portal. Use the options in the example below:

How to use training credits to pay a certification exam fee

If you or your team member is ready to take an exam to earn an Atlassian certification, you can use training credits to pay the exam fee. You'll get a code you can then use to schedule the exam from the Atlassian certification portal.

  1. Visit the certification voucher purchase page. Make sure you’re logged in. You can always return to the certification voucher purchase page by typing certification voucher in the site search

  2. Scroll down the page and select purchase

    3. Enter the redemption code provided by your training credit account owner

   4. Fill in the rest of the required fields to complete the purchase

Note: If training credit redemptions require account owner approval, the redemption will not be completed until the account owner approves the request. Once the redemption is approved, you will receive a notification email.

   5. After you finish completing the purchase form, you will receive a separate email with the certification voucher code. Use that code to schedule the exam from the Atlassian certification portal
